Description
Not much is left of the Jewish cemetery in Brandenburg since it was destroyed by fellow Germans in a barbaric outbreak of hate and violence during the Night of the Broken Glass and completely devastated by the bombs during the war. After the war, surviving members of the Jewish community demanded that it be brought back to dignified condition. It is more or less an empty field, on the back wall one finds a memorial plaque for the murdered Jews of Brandenburg and, to the left and right, the names of those who have been buried here.
